Water Conservation - Fieldwork
  1. Develop a water conservation plan for your school and submit it to school officials.

  2. Examine the water usage of a small community (a village, a locality in a city, or an apartment block) and write a report on the action that could be taken to conserve water.

  3. Join any group promoting rainwater harvesting in your area as a volunteer. Get involved in the actual work of installing rainwater harvesting systems in buildings. Write a report on your experience. How much did it cost? How much water will the system collect if the rainfall were to be normal? How soon will the system pay for itself? What other advantages does it offer? What are the minus points?
