Us
Our environment is fast deteriorating due to pollution of atmosphere,
destruction of forests and depletion of natural resources. As
a result, we are suffering from shortage of clean air and water
and diseases due to their pollution. Hence, we established
Society for Environment and Education to preserve the
environment and prevent its degradation.
The Objectives of our Society are:
- To inculcate environment awareness in society through
social and cultural activities.
- To disseminate information through mass media and publications
on status and utilization of environment.
- To conduct training programmes on environment education
for students and youth.
- To initiate public interest litigation against environmental
degradation.
- To encourage use of alternate and renewable sources of
energy for clean environment.
- To develop awareness among women and children for promotion
of their health, hygiene and healthy environment.
- To take up programmes for improving urban and rural environment
to achieve better quality of life.
In accordance with the objectives of our organization we are
bringing out a website "www.environmentandpeople.org"
since January 2006.
The aim of the website is to disseminate information pertaining
to environmental issues concerning to all sections of people
including teachers, students, youth, workers, farmers, women
and children.
The website carries articles written by eminent scientists,
technologists, doctors, economists and environmentalists of
national and international repute and is useful to all institutions,
individuals and other organizations both in India and abroad.
